I'd be inclined to say 30-60. 40 feels like one has already intruded into middle age. No longer being a twenty-something feels like the end of youth.

In my late 50s I was considered a senior or elderly by many organizations etc. I retired at 62.
Yeah 60 is already old so 35-55

A few years ago The Sunday Times did a series on ageing.
They classified middle age as 38-55.
Personally I would say 40-60.

My wife said that I was going through a midlife crisis when I bought a brand new 2000 Ford Mustang convertible. I was within those years I mentioned in one of my previous responses.🤔👍😁

What is considered middle age 2020?

middle age, period of human adulthood that immediately precedes the onset of old age. Though the age period that defines middle age is somewhat arbitrary, differing greatly from person to person, it is generally defined as being between the ages of 40 and 60.
