It's motion capture CGI and as Natsia says, isn't worth watching, even in the Imax 3d cinema. 2 out of 10

It's not a great movie. Grendel saves it though. He is awesome! I love his motivation for wrecking the mead hall! His fight scenes kick butt too.

If you haven't read it, I would think that John Gardner's "Grendel" would interest you. It's the Beowulf epic told from Grendel's point of view.
