Im hoping that this will give me some ideas of what to watch when i have a film night with friends and several bottles of beer!

You might try the Naked Gun movies or Police Squad series too, altough too many of these type of movies on one evening / night might be too much. Have you seen The Ring already? If so, you might give the Japanese version a try.

thriller.. classic The 39 Steps
Horror.. The early Hammer Dracula version with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
Comedy.. Baby's Day Out. (who said they can't make 'em like that anymore?)

Goodfellas... excellent sunday matinee with the mother in law hee hee🙂... best of the gangster movies they swear with total poetic grace and smash heads in beautifully as if they were doing the guy a favour.
