They're talking futball, football, soccer, whatever it's known as these days...

In hockey, can never look very far past Patrick Roy.
For Soccer/Futball/Football, I like Buffon.

Schmeichel? Vitor Baia? Don't make me laugh...........

I agree that the black spider, alias Lev Yashin, was one of the best ever.
Schmeichel was awesome, he commanded the defence very well and was the complete keeper, worth 10 extra points a season for his team and very rarely made mistakes. He also scored once, or was it twice?

But he is no Gigi Buffon.

Opinions are like a§§holes, everybody's got one.

Facts:
Vitor Baía achieved on 20 August 2004 the title of professional football player with most titles won and continued to expand it. Not only has he won 30 titles throughout his career, some of them are the top titles any professional player can win. Although he never won any title as goalkeeper for his national team he is one of the ten players to have won all the major European club titles.

Can't argue with facts.

There's no question that Gordon Banks was the best goalie that ever played the game.

A save from Pele, who said it was the best goal he never scored. And the best save he'd ever seen.
Gordon Banks .. That was a fine save from your link..

His life: http://www.ifhof.com/hof/banks.asp

England lost only nine of their 73 matches with Banks in goal. What's more he let in just 57 goals, a miserly average of just 0.78 goals per game, keeping 35 clean sheets. Brilliant player great man,

Schmeichel is tops. From shot stopping, one on ones, recovery to make multiple saves, aerial ability, penalty saves, marshalling of the defense, he had everything.

1999 was his year, and I remember the penalty save from Bergkamp in the 92nd minute in the FA cup semi final after Keane had been sent off which set up Ryan Gigg's best goal ever after 110 minutes...

Jason Wilcox has a Premiership winners' medal. Is he a better player than all those who don't have a Premiership winners medal?

Football is a team game.
