The other day I had the pleasure of seeing Dave Matthews Band for the first time live, and I must admit that they blew my mind. By far the best live performance I've seen (and I've seen a lot). I was wondering what other bands should be seen live? What are your favorites?

Iggy Pop has shown his genitals in concerts so many times
that the next tour will be named 'Iggy and the Nuts: Live'.

Most entertaining concert I ever went to was the Decemberists.

Hehe, I saw Snoop take a spliff from the audience once. He puffed three times and had to leave the stage. Pharrell had to finish the song alone. Welcome (back) to Denmark Snoop. 😉

Every concert? Might actually see them then even if I only like a few of the songs.

I've seen Henry Rollins' Spoken Words several times and he often mentions Iggy as a rock god. Unfortunately the one time I've seen him, he wasn't that wild.

In terms of crowd entertainment or because the music was excellent?

there is no better live band than this, seen them live probably 5 or 6 times already, they are peerless and simply mental live:

If I'm going to the Roskilde Festival this year, I will certainly look out for them. Is their world tour 2010 cancelled? I remember reading about them coming to Copenhagen i April.

EDIT: Oh, they're not listed at the Roskilde homepage.

hi Lundos... yes, they did recently cancel their Malaysia/Singapore (if I'm not mistaken) gigs due to family problems but European/UK shows are still on and happening

here you go : Beta, Copenhagen, Denmark. Apr 7 2010

p.s.
they're loud and noisy, mind you. Miles away from Dave Matthews 😉
