A recent thread in the Debates Forum includes some discussion on bias in the news media. I would like to find a good online news source that just gives the news in a factual manner with minimum bias. What do you recommend?

pravda always puts an interesting spin on the world. Especially the middle east and US. Yes it is biased but no more so than CNN.

The 'internet public library' seems to cover quite a bit of territory. The newspaper section looks very extensive on a worldwide level.

Agreed. Wikipedia is good for self-medicating when suffering from insomnia as well.

A friend of mine is starting something as a project for one of his uni courses called the Groundswell Information Collective which aims to be a community similar to RHP except strictly devoted to members publishing, teaching and learning things not subject to intellectual property laws or censorship.

Thanks for the link BBarr. It's a very interesting site.

He had it running about a year ago (I contributed a couple articles under the name ''Ken Graham''--an anagram of my name), but it lapsed until his prof assigned some publishing project. He needs someone who knows PHP....

I think the best thing to do is to read several varied sources and then draw your conclusions from that.
