OK I can't stand this any longer, I have to comment.

Forget Rick Wakeman, he can't touch Keith Emerson. Wakeman has been mentioned too many times in this thread, only Badmoon brought up Emerson once. So: I want to get even, , Keith Emerson, Keith Emerson, Keith Emerson, Keith Emerson, Keith Emerson, .

Now lets move on>
what about:

Al Cooper (the supersession albums with Mike Bloomfield] Dylan's Blonde on Blonde
Garth Hudson - from THe Band
David Sanchez- early E street Band, everybody and his mother has played with him.
Ian Underwood- Frank Zappa fame
RAY MANZAREK- the DOORS omg, how'd we miss that!
Roger Powell- Todd Rundgren's Utopia band
Kerry Minnear- Gentle Giant, best underated band from England, ever
Kristian Schultze= German rock/fusion band PASSPORT

Rick Weakman has nothing on Emerson. 😏

Though his passing this week is very sad, Billy Powell would NOT be my pick as #1 keyboardist, with apologies to the legion Lynard Skynard fans.

Hip-hop is not rock and roll. It's rhythmic poetry.

I gotta say that I hated poetry in school and I'm still not fond of it. Hip-hop has nothing to say that I haven't heard so I get bored with it quite easily.

Badwater, that's the first time I've come across something dumb written by you. Because I've heard rock and roll that was pretty poetic, and you can be sure it was rhythmic too.

For hip-hop that rocks, try Handsome Boy Modelling School 🙂

Great mention of Gentle giant. Perhaps my favorite most overlooked band.
