Better to be fired for something that is your fault (ie. Playing chess all day instead of finishing work)

Or something that is on someone else (ie. The invoices aren't paid because the president's wife must authorize them first, and that wasn't getting done.)

While yes, there were a few invoices that were late because of processing errors on the factory and me, it was less than the number of invoices I handled correctly, and were mishandled by the higher-ups. Is it better to go knowing exactly what you did wrong or thinking that you really did do everything they asked.

What a dumb question.

Go get a job, you bum. Try something you can handle this time around. Maybe a paper route, or being a bag-stuffer at Wal-Mart.

Live and learn dear. There's always bigger and better opportunities around the corner.

I once got fired from a job I loved and not because of anything I did while on the job either. I was bartending at a local pub. I went in one night (not working) had a few drinks, bar was closing, I was leaving, my neighbors jerk boyfriend started getting lippy with me. I banged his head off of the wall a couple times and over that I got fired from my job. And it was done in a real nasty way. Getting ready for my shift the boss calls and asks what I'm doing. "Getting ready to walk out the door." I told him.

He says "I was afraid of that. Well you shouldn't bother."

I asked him why and he said he was too busy and didn't have time to get into it. When I went to pick up my last paycheck he told me that he was informed of my little scuffle and off the clock or not it was apparently a no no.

But I got a better job after that anyway so lesson learned. I'm proud to say I have never beat anyones head off of a wall ever since. 😏

You'll find something better and you'll have just that much more experience behind you.

So your whole case is built on the premise that you screwed up a lot , but less than the boss's wife ? Such leadership , what professionalism , what craftsmanship ; and this is the way they treat you ? You were too good for them . I'd go in with guns blazing if I were you .

I have no case. I don't need one. It won't help me in this situation. I was just pondering what's a better way to be terminated.

I did respect you, but your low blows to anyone you can take just for the sake of it have cancelled it all out.

Mokko you freakin' ROCK! Love that. Guy mouths off to a girl and the girl goes ahead - doesn't answer him back - just goes ahead and smashes his head against a wall. What's better than that? You're my kind of chick.
Well there was a little more to the story. He was living with the so called friend who was babysitting my kids (very little at the time) there was an incedent one day where she bit my 2yr old, to teach her a lesson apparently, and forgot about my 5 yr old coming home from school and left her outside in the cold for God knows how long.

I was very less than impressed and when he started lipping me off calling me a very nasty name I just sort of lost it. The funniest part was he was bald and you could see the lump on the back of his head for days!

But I'm normally very conservative and try to avoid such conflicts. I'm a good girl, really I am.

I guess the scenario was my daughter had bit her and she bit her back to teach her a lesson. Not whileI'm paying $6.00/hour for someone to watch my kids! This is why I stay at home now since having my third. Won't make the same mistake twice. It's not worth the little extra money. But ya, as a general rule anyone messes with my kids will probably get a few lumps. Oh ya and any guy who calls me the "nasty" word. Sends me through the roof!
