The moral to that story is "Don't call someone an idiot, and not expect a headbutt to the face".

You should've been ready for a response if you were prepared to shoot your mouth off like that, not that the guy had a right to do it, but thats what guys like that do. . . what did you think was going to happen ?

Probably expected a reply like:

DATFFH: Yes, I suppose I do look like an idiot, probably due to my skin head, football shirt and accentuated by my aggressive tone of voice. Thank you very much for pointing this out and will re-evaluate my life to become a more respectable human being.

I find it marvelous the number of assumptions that everybody makes. I bet the guy was just a drunk guy with a football shirt.

Now he's a hooligan and a skin head.

Sorry to disappoint you.
Yes it did happen.
It was a few years ago now though - I like to think I would never do something so stupid nowadays.
In answer to Huckeberry, "What did I think he would do?". Well, I'd had a few myself and was in a good mood so I guess I expected the best from people - more fool me, I will not make the same mistake (unless I am drunk again, maybe).

And, Palynka, him and his mates were all wearing Huddersfield Town football shirts, and after they had thrown a few bottles around the pub, started chanting "Town, town, town", or a similar song with equally simple words. And I learned later that they were known as HYC - the local casuals.

Now we know it was a few years ago. In a while we'd find out (not anymore after this comment, though) it actually happened to your friend, and so on...

Why so suspicious?
True I could make up anything, so I made up a story where I ended up getting smacked in the face. 🙄

Just making conversation. Face it, your thread would be dead if it wasn't for me.
