I only use IE for pages that Firefox doesn't show properly. And as I said, I don't think the sounds were limited to the browser.

FF sux if you don't sit close to your monitor!
I use my 40" LCD and sit on my couch with wireless keyboard/mouse. The screen font is tiny. With IE you just click a menu and click 200% and the screen goes twice as big so you can actually read the screen and stays like that.
With FF, you have to press ctrl + EVERY single time you go to a new page. What a pain in the arse! So, back to IE for me.
