He's a Nonce who could have been stopped a lot earlier=(less victims) if we would pay more attention to what children say, and less to what authority figures say.
This philosophy may work on many levels.
When I first heard the testimony against this guy in the press, I thought, yeah, he's done, he's never seeing the light of day again.

Sounds a bit paranoid but on a day to day basis it is adhered to without people being too conscious of it. It offers protection to the adults as well.
It is a shame that it comes to that, but that pales into insignificance compared to the damage one such predator can cause.
And obviously no system is fool proof, we still have these cases hitting the national papers, but I think we have to make children as safe as possible, whilst allowing them and adults to engage in healthy interraction's in a social and mentoring environment.
