We have red, grey, black and even some white squirrels here. I wonder if you’d notice the difference, aside from the white ones, what with you being colour blind and all.
When I was in London some years ago with my daughter and grandson Cazper I was told about the grey squirrels. And we only noticed grey ones. In addition, in Kensington Gardens, we saw a lot of green parrots living in the trees and watching out for passers-by with paper bags that might contain bread and other edible things, preferably nuts or apples. 🙂

Are you sure those green things in the trees were indeed parrots and not leaves?🤔

The queen died, couple of years ago. It was a sad day for the squirrels.

Background on Dave:

1. Of the several squirrels I feed most days, in a local churchyard, Dave is the only one who takes his monkey-nut directly from my hand. (He invariably puts a paw on my finger to steady himself).
2. Dave will often linger for me to show him a second monkey-nut, so he knows he has something to come back for.
3. Dave is completely fearless and chases off other squirrels.
4. He is well known to other squirrels feeders I have encountered. (He has been given many names).
5. I first met Dave in 2020 and he helped get me through the whole tedium of lockdown.
