Okay, so here I am, on a beautiful Friday morning, a rare day off during the week and here I sit at the car dealership getting my car repaired. I hope they also wash it at least.

the few times i've had my truck in for service (takata air bags anyone?) they ALWAYS wanted wash it...
i have had wordy wars with managers because my truck is only going to go get filthy as soon as they release it to me and i do not have time for dealership details...

Same here, sons car, an 04 Sante Fe I gave him, needs work so just an hour ago had AAA tow it to a local mechanic and we will see why it refuses to start....
Hope your mechanic doesn't just go on a fishing trip.
"oh yeah, look at this oil, it is brown, you need an oil change, and look at this air filter" etc.

It's funny thinking how people's lives are so similar despite living so far apart. The same struggles and pleasures. People are fundamentally the same no matter where you're from.

it seems his limericks are not doing well

I once bought a used 1986 Volvo station wagon in 1989 it was a great car but when it started needing "work (in 1996) every time I brought it into the Volvo dealership for "repairs" they would wash it and clean the inside for me. I thought that was a pretty good bit of PR...till I got the bill, which, was 5 or 600 dollars each time. It got so I just said here's 500 dollars if it's more let me know. After my third bout of this I sold the thing and bought a new car...no not a Volvo. 🙂

Yeah, we had a Volvo too, and it was really bad in terms of repair costs.
