There are a lot of people on this forum who you will think have been bound, gaged and locked into the back room. Why you may ask?

Well, Firefox now has a built in word checker that underlines spelling mistakes as you type into the "post" box. Tah dahhh.

get it here:
http://getfirefox.com

check it out, really useful .
so all we need now is a Firefox browser that has a grammar checker and resultantly this forum will become a proverbial desert.🙂

Do you have to uninstall firefox first, or does it just automatically update it?

It'd be really useful for people for whom English is a second language, you're right. Otherwise ... 🙄

There are many dictionaries to choose from. You never know, you might need to write something in russian or german. It's a handy tool then, uh?

Apparently, russian and german are misspelled. I'm suggested to write Russian and German instead. Is that right? 😕

It is indeed. But you probably won't be told you are wrong when you say you are a swede. 🙄

or a turnip.

so all you need to worry about now is context. . .and if there is multiple possibilities for the correct spelling of the word.

I have heard people talk about a spellchecker in Firefox a long time ago. Is this something different? Anyway, if people would use it, it could make the fora much easier to read, although the worst (i.e. most confusing) mistakes are those a program won't find because the used word exists, it just isn't the word people mean ("it's" for "its" and vice versa, "you're" for "your" and vice versa etc.).
