Brazil - Croatia, opening match.
Can England do something?
Croatia will amke the first off-set and bring some excitement into the tournament.

Spain won't win again, but the Netherlands have chances if the South American giants Brazil and Argen tina stumble or fall.

England will be lucky to live through the first round...and will not come beyond the quarter finals.

Upset not offset. Think either Argentina, Brazil or Germany will win it.

No Host has ever lost their opening match, can't see it happening tonight... draw is possible though but Brazil should be to strong, only nerves can beat them in that group.

Whichever country has the most garrulous octopus will surely win.

USA in probably the toughest group, I always enjoyed USA v Mexico games.
If enough of them sneak across the border we can finally beat them at futbol. 😕

AU, forgot the main point as to why Brazil would win... FIFA clearly hired a ref that would give thing a doggy penalty to keep the home fans happy.

I don't understand why you say this, Brazil has proved more than once to be a team that plays well enough without the need of FIFA's interference. 😕

1930. - Uruguyan policeman kicked the ball into the field and Uruguay won with irregular goal.

2014. Japanese referee gave Brazil penalty kick which did not exist.

Nothing's changed.

The penalty spoiled the game for me, it was the poorest of poor decisions and was never a penalty in a zillion years and should have resulted in a booking. Decisions of that magnitude should be reviewed by a video referee, the argument that it holds up the game is tosh, it would take no longer than the time it takes to remove an injured player. I sincerely hope it does not set a trend of diving which has marred football and spoiled the game for many.
