My Mum is really into this and on at me to adopt the practice.

I assume you are finding it works, what are the benefits?

Interesting.

Fasting (even the one meal a day variety) can be incredibly beneficial to the human body.

It's just not on my radar as a Type I diabetic, even though it is known that fasting can decrease insulin resistance. The increased risk of hypoglycemia, however, makes it a no-go for me.

I can't get there when I'm in training, either. It's about packing on the protein to build muscles after workouts.

If it works for you, though, more power to you. It can be a great tool for weight management, especially.

Crumpets, every morning.

Edit: Then I have breakfast.

spiced with onion and garlic and cayenne pepper
a small dollop of ghee

What's her name? The crumpet, I mean. Before breakfast.

Years (many) my grandmother told me that when you get “old” you eat a lot less. Now I knew this wasn’t rocket science but it was the truth. Although never a big eater, well except dinner. I have and have done so for years, a coffee while reading the morning paper, lunch is often a sandwich or small salad and dinner, much less that in the last. Having said that I do, sometimes on a weekend, have a couple of fried eggs (easy over), some bacon or sausage and a couple of pieces of Rye toast with peanut butter.

That’s my contribution.πŸ‘πŸ˜

@Suzianne,
I agree you need lots of protein when working out, I know some body builders that eat small meals 6 times a day. Apparently it helps them and is beneficial for their heavy work outs.

I could drop lunch but never breakfast unless it is absolutely called for.

Some days I am like a Hobbit and have breakfast twice.
