I like southwest ranch. A little bit of kick. I don't like eating it too much cause of the fat, though. I gotta find a regular southwest sauce.

Ranch dressing is similar to sweet tasting snot.

But with egg yolk. That's why I general avoid it (I like it with carrots, and can see it being ok with broccoli, in small amounts).

Re: Hummus v Broccoli...try it. Very tasty.

Also, I was always a fan of Pizzaria Uno's "spinoccoli" deep-dish pizza (spinach & broccoli). Normally, I don't go for anything outside the realm of standard NY/NJ (sometimes CT) traditional pizza, but Uno's "spinoccoli" was a masterful creation.

Agreed.

Ranch dressing is Satan's semen*.

* Sorry, but there was no other way.

Too dry.
If broccoli is frozen in water upon defrosting it will be limp and much easier to eat.
Kudos to Dr Broccoli for crossing asparagus and cauliflower to create broccoli.

If I ever come across a chance to try it, I will. I'm not even sure where I'd get hummus. I don't think I've ever seen any at our local store. What else is hummus good with?

Never had Uno's. I'll give that a go sometime if I can, as well. Pizza is something you just have to try.

Thanks for the pointer.

Major kudos. Broccoli is one of the more interesting and easily accessible veggies out there. Usually it seems to be one or the other.

Broccoli soup! Basically, you just cook the broccoli in soup stock (don't forget to add freshly ground pepper, and maybe some garlic) and then purée it in the food processor. It's nice to add a little cream or sour cream, but you can do without if your colon doesn't agree with that.

ever seen any bond movies? next time, during the opening credits, pay less attention to the girls and more to the credits. πŸ™‚ apparently broccoli was invented by his relative, and that's how the family made its fortune. which albert is now using on spy movies. πŸ™‚

yea, I often use the noodle 'stock' for other dishes as well. especially from prawn noodles. quick & easy, and cheap.

cream, onions, chili + curry paste makes a great sauce for any veggies as well. but it's of course quite heavy food if you're trying to watch your boyish figure. πŸ™‚

what you really need though, is fast cars, small guns, an international crime organization holding the world for ransom with a stolen nuclear device, and naturally some leggy, busty young women. with tiny skirts.
Not Cubby Broccoli, fool.
