Oh my actual god, how difficult is this!

All I want is a 6’x8’ potting shed. Book prices for what look like identical products range from £650 to £1,500.

“Sorry we don’t deliver in your area”
what… I’m 10 minutes from a main dual carriageway?
Ok I’ll collect?
“We don’t do that as we might have to service it”
It’s a shed…I’ll own it, I’ll repair it, I’ll sign it off!

“Delivery is estimated at 7-10 weeks”
Are you growing the trees for the wood?

“We can do customer made to order; £2,300
It’s a basic shed, not an extension!

Doing my head in this is.

Oh dear, yes, this sounds really frustrating.
Maybe you're better off with a 2nd hand one you dismantle from someone's garden and reerrect yourself in yours?

As a result of reading this, I looked up what's available in my area and I was shocked by how expensive these are. Metal ones are cheaper, but if you want wood, you're gonna have to pay some serious coin. Good luck, man.

Ha! I did a quick Google search and now RHP is showing me adverts for sheds. (My subscription has lapsed).

😄

Maybe that was Dives plan all along, he doesn't like us non-subs! Thinks we shouldn't be able to thumb up posts.

Or else he is a crafty shed salesman.

I get a small but welcome incremental commission for driving subscriptions.
