anyone here playing Magic the gathering ( wizards of the coast ) or Talisman the board game / Bloodbowl. For those with fast connections a new D&D world based on 3rd edition rules opens january 2005. For the arcade originals out there I was know as Mr G ( Mr Gauntlet ). Warrior elf Valkyrie or Wizard made no difference.....
Originally posted by jarrydI play D&D once a week with a group at a friends house, and every few weeks have a special D&D session at my place where I DM.

Haven't gotten to play some of the systems mentioned here, but I will give them a whirl since fellow RHPers mentioned them. 😉
Magic the Gathering you say? That game is like legal crack....and as such I play it several times a week. 😀
I've played: Warhammer, Dungeons and dragons, Advanced dungeons and dragons, Cyber punk, Star Wars (obviously) and MERP.
But the best system I've ever come across (especially when it comes down to combat and magic systems) is TWAK; The World As Known Fantasy RPG.
I wish I could play again, but everyone I know lives too far away to get a good campaign going.
Oh well...My Warhammer fantasy battle armies are doing very well though!
Well... I'm a long time gamer (of pretty much all sub-types, except sports). RPG system I've most recently played was D&D 3.x & Star Wars d20. Although there are a number of systems i've learned about or recently picked up that I've been wanting to try out, including Savage Worlds, FATE, Risus, and even the new World of Darkness... they all emphasize totally different styles of play.
