With it you can record audio from online and then save it as an mp3. I'm not real competent with it but I have saved some music tracks from youtube. This program has many features and I haven't messed with very many of them.
To record something from youtube, first open audacity and start recording. Then start the youtube file that you want to record and it will be recorded as it plays. You may have to adjust the volume levels first and get it set properly.
