suomi was a small part of österland, which was part of sweden. nowadays suomi is referred to as 'varsinais-suomi', 'egentliga finland', or finland proper. it's still only a small province in the south-west of the mainland finland, which is obviously COMPLETELY different from finland proper. 🙂

When you order a mixed drink do you say "I'll have a scotch With soda or scotch AND soda"? Assuming you drink scotch with a mix of some sort.

Thank you for pointing that out. In fact my knowledge ofg Finnish history is fragmentary and probably I blunder a lot when thinking about it.

My intention was to show Seits,e who flows a Finnish flag, what the original poster had in mind.

if i was ordering a scotch and soda i would except the soda to come in a separate bottle unless i said a scotch WITH soda. when i order it it's a scotch AND soda but when i mixed them together it's a scotch WITH soda. ¿entienda?
