btw. - on a note of pure enquiry did American Football have it's roots in Rugby League (apart from throwing forwards the rules are really similar) or are they completely seperate?
How bout the idiot TV analyst during the game yesterday? he actually said Varitek's grand slam was the biggest at bat of his life. i can think of at least 500 at bats that were more important. like the time he walked in the 6th inning of a game against the royals last summer. I actually watched the game because i love baseball, but most of the country doesn't care about the WBC and it looks like the team doesn't really care either. i would rather watch the phillies spring traing games.
P.S. - Its reported that Barry Bonds wants to play for team USA if they make it out of the first round
