Maybe Canada is the next US of baseball. Seems our new sport is snowboarding.

What's wrong with football? (as in with a round ball and you can't pick it up unless you're the goalie...)

I know what football is. I played it for 7 years before I had to quit. Ironically enough, I was the goalie, lol.

That's not to big in America, I don't know why, it's the best sport ever invented as far as I'm concerned.

You must mean soccer; a game of testicle squeezing and jamming fingers in butts.

Or for that matter rugby - another game where they forgot the rules and decided that picking up the ball was the right thing to do.

btw. - on a note of pure enquiry did American Football have it's roots in Rugby League (apart from throwing forwards the rules are really similar) or are they completely seperate?

And now it's final.

Well done Canada! I wish I was able to see the entire game.

Another classic example of it takes more than a bunch of "all-stars" to make a team.

How bout the idiot TV analyst during the game yesterday? he actually said Varitek's grand slam was the biggest at bat of his life. i can think of at least 500 at bats that were more important. like the time he walked in the 6th inning of a game against the royals last summer. I actually watched the game because i love baseball, but most of the country doesn't care about the WBC and it looks like the team doesn't really care either. i would rather watch the phillies spring traing games.

P.S. - Its reported that Barry Bonds wants to play for team USA if they make it out of the first round
