@fmf saidNo, I don't think you do.
I do understand what "gaslighting" is. It's just that I think you are the most prominent purveyor of it, that's all. And this means you come across as very hypocritical sometimes. You are also, by far, the biggest and most incessant, purveyor of "forum combat", so it's odd how often you try to pin that label on regular posters who simply do not engage in even a fraction of the "gaslighting" that you do. Just a thought, that's all.
@very-rusty saidI saw, what I think was a mistake, a sign on a fence that said, “Don’t chain you bikes to the feces”.
We will soon need a shovel in here to clean up the feces you are spewing. :🙂

@fmf saidNo, I use it quite discriminately to refer to people like you, who craft their language to influence the opinion of the voiceless listeners into believing your what you want them to believe. This is precisely the usage of the original word "gaslighting".
Well, you're wrong. And you are also wrong in the way you use the word "gaslighting". You use it indiscriminately to refer to opinions and observations that you dislike or disagree with.
It just so happens that I am against people, again, like you, who do that.
Saying that I use the term gaslighting to refer to opinions that I dislike or disagree with is putting the cart well before the horse. What is more true is that I dislike and disagree with opinions that try to gaslight people into 'seeing things their way'.
Surely, even you can see the difference. That is why you manipulate language the way you do.
