@lipareeno saidOvercooking (or using ingredients that are, themselves, overcooked) is what often makes food bland.
I'm good with the meat and everything tastes good but all together it blands out a bit.
I'm thinking more garlic and more peppers.
I have all of the ingredients that everyone suggested so I just need a better recipe.
Except for that Marmite fellow. Good God that's disgusting.
I'm not talking about simmering all day (if you do this, keep the (vented) lid on), I'm talking overcooked, to the point where it affects the texture.
