But seriously, just go out and get a USB keyboard for now. Then you can start learning some IT hardware skills and fix it.

It could be something as simple as your ctrl key being stuck down. Does anything funky happen when you type? or does nothing happen at all?
I'd shut the computer down, and give the keyboard are real good cleaning with some windex and a rag.
