You had to pay a £100 deposit on your credit card and then it was £5 per hour of rental and 30 free miles.
It was very good, especially because there was a car location close to my house. It is also a lot cheaper than owning a car and streetcar give you brand new VW golfs.
Drawbacks were:
it's not guaranteed that there will be a car when you need it.
Once a guy dented my door quite badly at Ikea and I had to pay a £100 excess on the insurance. But it's not £100 per year excess, its £100 per claim so if you are unfortunate and have lots of problems, then the costs can potentially go up. Saying that, I only needed to claim on the insurance once.
Overall I think its worth it.
