These are what Channel 4 call 'Celebrities' who apparently have 'given
up their Showbiz lifestyles to take part in the show'.
Has a version of this programme, where 6 people are put together in
a house, filmed 24 hours a day, and get voted out one by one, been
made in another other countries apart form the UK?
Rhymester
Oh,yes Andrew it has indeed. In South Africa we get the "celebrities
first"Then they turn the nation into mindless geeks watching people
do interesting things like;
1.Play in mud while attempting to hang on to their drinks.
2.Shower.
3.Talk crap while drinking.
4.Pick their noses while drinking.
5.Making witty cracks which only they find funny.
6.Telling people they would have left the house anyway had they not
been voted out.
Yes I have watched a bit. After a few beers before going to bed once a
week I did it.You want to know why?I will tell you.It is so tasteless and
the people so boring it takes my mind of beer and sex for at least 24
hrs(Oh and sports)Funny it doesnt take my mind of
RHP....hhhmmmm.....interesting.

Getting his first beer
I believe it was invented in the Netherlands..
Apart from Beeb1 & 2 the only other primarily English channel I get is
a Dutch one that shows lots of British/American shows & films in
origional English with subtitles. Except that now they show Big Brother.
EVERY NIGHT!!!
Not getting C4 I haven't seen any of the British series but I can assure
you that not understanding what they say doesn't improve the
experience. Or maybe it does...
It is set in the same house as before? I hope not, it is just down the
road from where I work and its just so sad. You get people hanging
around all the time outside coz their "near" fame. They have picnic
tables and everything outside. I mean whats there - a big fence and a
gate - why don't these people go to Berlin, at least that wall had some
history attached to it!

(who hates where he works)
In a similar vein, who lives in a country where there is no version of 'Who wants to be a
millionaire?' This show started in the UK. I saw it in Germany once, and apart from the
language and the presenter, everything was exactly the same: same music, same sound
effects, same graphics. The presenter's style even resembled Chris Tarrant's, constantly
trying to instill doubt in the contestant!
