remote definitly a curse. People should be able to walk to their appliance and deal from hand. I am specially angered if you can't operate one without remote.
mouse a blessing. Just so much easier to point and click then to put in cryptic commands (and yes I am one of the dinosaurs who actually operated exclusivly from command lines...
