Some things change and some things stay the same.
Its a fact of life that I know is true but don't care for at all. I personally don't like much change, but I accept it and move on.
I'll be honest. I think the level of fun, entertainment and relative enjoyment in the forums was higher two years ago then it was now. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it here a lot and I'm not saying anything bad about it. I'm not talking about Russ decisions or upgrades or anything like that. I'm talking about site ideas.
Most of the big dilema's over the past few years have come out of site ideas, and caused some riffs here and there. Some of those changes have happened and some didn't. If you were around, you know.
Why can't some people just be happy with what they have? Every day there is some crazy ideas about changes to this site and you never know when one of them is going to get some kind of a crazy cult following and somehow get it to happen.
I appreciate this site for what it is and the work done to keep it going strong.
I've learned two lessons this year the hard way:
Be careful what you wish for
and
Don't take what you have for granted
Making those mistakes just may ruin the good things you have.
Keep it in mind in life, and before you post crazy ideas in site ideas.
Thanks,
PK
