That sounds like a reasonable idea. I've been offered several draws
in one game being up a queen and a rook. I laughed, and wrote a
polite message back saying "I think I want to finish this one, I'm too
far ahead." A polite note was all it took to bring my opponent in line
and finish the game. He didn't resign, but I worked on my endgame.
With the new limit on the number of games non-pawn stars can play,
it is rude not to play in a timely manner. Draws are part of the
game, but you shouldn't offer it unless you're ahead, or there is futile
play (Keeping the opposing king in endless check.) As far as those
two games are concerned, I'd love to be in those "obvious draw
posistions" that Inc is in in my games. Inc has fairly higher ratings
than R Kelly too. It would damage his rating to accept a draw from a
lower rated player. I hope R Kelly will play on and allow Inc to start
some more games by finishing those two.
I have the same situation with the same player!
The solution is to modify the system to prevent a player from making
repeated draw offers in a given turn. They system should only allow a
single draw offer per turn. I have emailed this suggestion to Chrismo
and Russ.
Hopefully they can make this modification without too much difficulty
and prevent such abuse in the future.
I have it on good information (on the grapevine, yunno) that
incompetent regularly uses a chess computer engine. This chess
computer engine is one of the new variaty, one of the superhuman
plus processers. Apparantly his chess engine is one of the new 'colin'
processers - highly mathematical, logical and designed for challanges
such as this. This sort of cheating should be stopped straight away.
