Oh yes!
I love Le Rustique Camembert or Chavroux goat’s cheese on rye toast instead of butter and I make a lovely pasta sauce with leeks, mushrooms and Parmigiano Reggiano.

In addition to it’s high protein, calcium and fermentation qualities which help your gut cheese is also very good for your teeth as it helps balance the pH level in your mouth, which means less harmful acid, more cleansing saliva and fewer cavities - thus great to eat at the end of a meal.

Can’t beat the French for cheese I think.
What’s your favourite German cheese? I’ll give it a try.

It's Brie.

It IS French.

Bree sounds like it comes from the Shire.

So I think cheese is underapprciated on this website.

I like differet cheese for different occasions and for different bread.

I like cheese from cow milk mainly, but sheep is perfectly acceptable, while I do only like few kinds of goat cheese.

I love cheddar and Västerbottensost / Västerbotten cheese.

"The village of Burträsk claims Västerbotten cheese was invented there in the 1870s, supposedly by a dairy maid, Ulrika Eleonora Lindström (1835-1892). According to legend, she was left alone to stir the curd of a traditional cheese but was interrupted, either by other chores or an assignation with her lover. This resulted in alternating periods of heating and stirring of the curdling milk.[citation needed] Västerbottencheese and västerbottensost are registered trademarks owned by Norrmejerier, and the cheese is only produced at their dairy in Burträsk."

That’s an interesting story. I doubt I can buy it here in the UK, as was the case with the cheese Ponderable recommended, but I’ll give it a try.

I’ve just had some cheese on toast English style; that’s Davidstowe Cheddar on white bread seasoned with white pepper and Worcestershire Sauce.

That sounds good. Might try it myself.

Smokey cheddar is my favorite. It works well on my breakfast sandwich, which includes 1 toasted English muffin, ham slice, scrambled egg, topped with a slice of smokey cheddar, then heated just enough to melt the cheese. This and a mug of Earl Grey is my morning time bliss.
