Chess Board Choices

Book. I feel it's the easiest to see.

I find Newspaper marginally better for me than Book and those two are head-and-shoulders clearer than any of the others.

Book, I agree it's easiest to see. This and newspaper are much clearer than the others, but I feel the newspaper set has a "smudged" look about it.

Saying that, looking at the smiley set, I might play with this for a while to see how many games I lose out of sheer confusion 😉

Am I the only one who uses wood pieces ???

I use wood the black and white boards look strange to me. I just can't take the medieval and smiley boards seriously enough.

Yeh, Newspaper for me, all the others are unclear. The smiley one?? Who plays with that?? Whoever they are they must be the lowest rated player here :p
