Chess Board Choices

I have recently noticed (yes, sometimes I am a bit slow 😕) that there are six (yes! 6!) choices for a chess set to display your games.

I got to wondering which ones people have chosen and why....it is a curious to think that while I am playing with one set you may be responding in another...

those little bluish smileys are a little disturbing...😕

Personally I have played with the wood set since I started playing here. I find it the one I am most comfortable with.

I use the Newspaper style. I really don't like the look of the pawns in the default set and I need to see the pieces in black and white or I'm completely lost!

Newspaper style pour moi. I think it's the clearest and closest to Staunton or Drueke pieces. I'd have a REAL hard time dealing with the weirdo character sets.

Newspaper. At least I know what the men are. On one server I have played on the King and the Queen like alike. I ran from the King one time because I thought it was the Queen. That confusion cost me the game. I always play Newspaper. P.S. ChessMaster 7000 has the best looking 2d set I have ever seen. It is the set in the database.

Newspaper for me.When I first got here,I did play a few games with the medieval and smiley sets,but had no idea which pieces I was moving.Which was the whole idea,actually....heh 😕😛🙄

Newspaper. I use a lovely wood set at home and tend to play better chess in a 3-d environment, but a 2-d board is better than a fake 3-d computer board in my opinion.

I don't like the wood as the colours do not fit to the rest of the site. There could be something like skins...

I've always played with Rival Classic and I would be lost on any other board style.

Am I the only one?
