Well yes and no. 😕
It's a lot of things, spacial perception, problem solving, experience, and intelligence. Mostly I think it is the first and third in the list. 🙂 😕

It's about being so limited in scope, you only care about 32 on an 8x8, more than anything else IMO😕

One of my favorite players is close to 2000, was an average of 2100 for 11 years, his IQ is less than, or around 120, which is bright, but no Poindexter by any means.

I seemed to have misspelt, "Take it to Chess Spanky!!" 😞

Also it was much much sexier when SJ247 asked it.
