Recently i drove down to Cape Town for holiday, i soaked up the sun, watched the bikini bums that strolled past me, partyed all night that type of thing.
On one occasion i was just kicking back and watching life past me bye, but something caught my eye!!!! Some locals were selling crafts and shells ect, i noticed that a one of them was selling a chess set made from carved wood, wow it was beautiful!!!!
i whistled to the man and he sprinted towards me, speaking all sorts of heba geba. . .but some how we came to an aggrement,
I asked him if he could play chess, eventually he understood wat i was asking and politely nodded his head. . . .
so we started playing (i had no intension of buying it a this point, but i felt sorry for the bugger)
As we started i said that if i win he will give it to me for R230, and if he wins i have to buy for R260, (original price was R250)
i made this deal knowing that i will definately win without a doubt, but it turned out so so wrong
He beat me!!!!!!!!! I felt like i had lost all hope in life, a little kid beat me!!! not only that but i had to pay him more than the original price!!! i gave him the money but it took me long enough to let go of it!!!
so i sat there half broke, defeated, ashamed and on top of that i was extremely sun burnt, i swear u could of cooked a sundays breakfast right on my chest!!!!
But it made me wonder, that chess is eveywhere; at coffee shops, parks, homes, schools, street corners, even villages!!!
wow! what a great game it is!!!!!
Was it anything like this game?

Why would "someone up there" arrange for you to be come the owner of a beautiful new chess set and then request you give up Chess?
Maybe, the suggestion was to not be quite so confident?
Perhaps, your loss was not the point....that little guy may have needed the money far more than you know. ....
Just a thought, I would want you to go wondering away....😉
