From the New York Daily news 1951

"Scandal has already smeared babseball, football, and basketball.
The only sports we can still trust are chess contesets and marble
tournaments."

Since then a lot has changed for worse, particularly because of FIDE.

FIDE has been screwing up ever since they took the title away from
Bobby in 1975.

They have always catered to the Russians (no offense guys)...that is
why I am pulling for little Etienne Bacrot to be the next world champ.

Etienne Bacrot, of all chessplayers?! He's not even the best French
player (Joël Lautier - has a beautifyl wife too, lucky man).

I made a post about it earlier and noone cared...why? It was about
chess. If we can finally get this place to that and drop the soap opera
stuff it would be nice.

Notice Bacrot in 4th and Lautier in 8th? Also above two former world
champs!

The kid has what it takes..a GM at 13. I am behind him all the way!

As for having a hot wife...so do I..won't make me world champ though.

What's the difference between nr 4 & 8? Just a measly 0.5. You must
look at their overall results in tournaments, olympiads, etc. Of course,
Etienne is a very fine player, but world champion? No way, unless
Illumzhinov decides to crown Etienne himself. There are other
youngsters (and yes, from Russia, Ukraine...) who will overtake him.
Still, I'd love to be as good as the young lad is. Who of us all wouldn't?

I am telling you this kid has a shot...he is getting better and better.

Ours was supposed to be little Josh Waixtzin...but he hit his wall.
Great guy though...and alot better than me.

Give him about two years...I predict he will take it away from Kramnik.
