there are NO chess sites similar to rhp in that NO other chess forums allow the trash talk that goes on here ( shav for example and i could name a few others )and NO other chess site puts the chess board over to the left.
Go to GK and give it a shot, I WANT you to.

what are some chess sites that are simliar to rhp? i know gameknot has been mentioned are their any others? im talking about a site that has chess and forums, also the moves are 1 per day or more?
I think rhp and gk are 2 distinct sites. Gk has a great league and team system, but forums suck. Their interactive boards and database are nice as well.
rhp has a better community, and the multiple clan thing can be a positive. rhp has of late offered some good stuff found only at gk (like provisional moves), and seems to be improving in that department.
I like them both.
Chess Corner is similar but not a good one. I was a member for 2 years and gave it a fair chance but it is a goodie-goodie bunch and dominated by a few people who pat each other on the head routinely. Their rating system is inflated outragously. I was a couple hundred points higher at that site. And as a point of interest, I belonged to this site at the same time and the players here are collectively a better group (chess players) than the other. I have also played at other sites but never was a payng member as they just didn't measure up to RHP.
Another one with a forum is ChessWorld. Do not dare mention any other sites even in a board message or it gets deleted! ItsYourTurn has all sorts of games, including chess. No forum, though. Any site as good as RHP does not need to fear competition, however. It will always have a loyal following. I do not care for the bad language and filthy talk here, but I can avoid reading it.
