Character can be build in slaughterhouses too. Just imagin the gore and blooth stains the kids get covered under. No real-life school-brought animal can beat that. And it might actually generate some vegetarians and vegans. Thats important too.
I say, forget about show and tell, and take the kids out on field trips to appreciate animals and the value(s) of l ...[text shortened]... If an animal need to be tortured, at least let it be done the industrial way instead of hugging.

You don't sound very intellectually flippant and very condescending, I importantly need to add.
Let's leave animals at home, and let kids take other kids to school for show and tell. They actually might learn something on the fysiologically and psychological areas; with a stressed out kid in the middle of a gazing audience. Talking about character building...!

ANIMALS MUST BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL. Kids will be left as thick as you if they don't get to feel the deadly bite of a venomous snake,

I say, don't bring animals to schools, but bring schools to animals! Kids don't want to visit schools, now they can learn values outside the school buildings. And if the kids are in luckily bad luck, they don't have to visit a school ever again. Animals will appreciate that too, I think.
Originally posted by AikoNo, it's less natural, which is my word btw, because the Amazon is being destroyed by people cutting down trees. IDK what life is like in your country, but in America kids love the natural environment that schools offer.

Animals don't have feelings.
Idiot.

The Amazon is being cut down to make room for grasslands and soy plantages. Grasslands are being used to let life animals go walk around and feed themselves. Soy is almost to its fullest being used for further feeding animals (and not vegetarians and vegans (which are nice people, of course)). The soy is being shipped, poisonous animals are being carried in boxes and such with the soy. And then kids bring down the furry eight-legged offspring to their school. So, even meat eaters are a danger to kids. That actually is 'unnatural'. But it is IMPORTANT to understand it is not working the other way around; that if children do not eat the big spiders and snakes, it is quite 'unnatural' to pet and hug them.
