Kids are animals. If they would not be getting hurt(ed?), they would not be able to build up some character.
The Amazon is being cut down to make room for grasslands and soy plantages. Grasslands are being used to let life animals go walk around and feed themselves. Soy is almost to its fullest being used for further feeding animals (and not vegetarians and ...[text shortened]... t eat the big spiders and snakes, it is quite 'unnatural' to pet and hug them.
They can build character in schools. Do you know how much a field trip to the Amazonian Rain Forest would cost? It's simply not feasible.

Some wasps (Paper wasps?) bite, and you're the one that asked how wasps could sting.
To learn the difference between wasp stings and bee stings, the kids should get both wasp stings and bee stings. Then they can observe the differences. It will be especially effective if you have kids with an allergy against wasp stings or bee stings.

How would the kids get them? Simple, cover them in honey, and unleash the bees on a trapped group of kids.
