I'm sure you know that Alpha Centauri is a binary system, not an individual star. The system includes
at least one Earth-size planet, Alpha Centauri Bb, believed to have a surface temperature of roughly
1200 degrees Celsius. Your protagonist must find our neighborhood a bit chilly, or am I giving away
too much of the plot?

Well, it's still in development, coming out in Summer 2014. But the plot so far centers on him being too cold and having to find a solution. He really likes Earth and doesn't want to leave, but he doesn't want to freeze either.
