I disagree with you over whether the prank was any good. I think it was fine to link it explicitly to COVID.
I think this whole thread should be bookmarked.

So, having publicly disapproved of my behaviour, what do you reckon anout Very Rusty's behaviour on this thread?
Pales into insignificance compared to your last post.

Genuinely.

I think you are being 100% performative and not being genuine at all, about any of this, all the way back to when the prank was played.

Are you ever genuine about anything? Seriously! Still calling it a Prank I see, does it make it sound better by calling it a Prank? No matter how you say it, Liar, Liar, pants on fire! 🙂 😛

I once found myself "alone" in Perth, Australia, at Christmas time in the early 2000s when I was visiting a best friend and his wife - and I was travelling without my wife or child for some reason.

Now, he and his wife had actually gone away for 48 hours over the Xmas Eve & Xmas Day period and I was adopted as a guest at Christmas lunch by his wife's family without his wife expecting that to happen....

...and they were perhaps the most dysfunctional family I had ever come across.

Lunch was an uproarious affair with f-ing and blinding and siblings in shouting matches and people barging and shoving each other and drunken rows spilling out into the garden and so on and so forth.

I just looked on in amused bemusement. They were Lithuanian Australians, I was told later.

My friend's wife rang her mother at some point - from wherever they were on their weekend away - and she was distraught to find out that I was there in amongst her family witnessing exactly what she knew all too well I was witnessing [which was, after all, her reason she arranged to be away]. I was supposed to be snoozing by her pool but now I knew The Truth.

It was all good though.

When I left to stroll back to my friend's house, most of his wife's family were crashed out or snoozing around the warzone.

This is what happens when you fake your death, people actually do die. IRONIC don't you think?

Apparently, deaths in the family in 2022 "is what happens" when one is involved in a prank in 2021.

It was funny, nobody reacted, nobody said any words about me, nobody believed it and - thanks to Ponderable - everyone knew I was hale and hearty and playing bad chess.

I wonder, if another close relative were to pass away in 2023, and I were to mention it on the forums, would I come under personal attack from Very Rusty and Ghost of a Duke again?

No one expected anyone to lie about someone dying and make up a story about someone else using their account to move?
