For me, Christmas is about celebrating togetherness with family and friends. It has absolutely nothing to do with faith or Jesus.

it's all commercial bullsh1t - santa was invented by coca cola.

the real meaning is peace and good will.

Presents are nice, but take it easy. The amount of people that get into debt is mind numbing.

regardless or religious affiliation, Christmas represents a time of giving and family togetherness. Sharing gifts and time with the people you love. This is a good thing. It has a way of making the cold winter seem more bearable.

O and all those pretty lights sure look nice.

Same here, plus it's a time to get ready for the real cold weather to follow. (Oh ya, we all get to sing carols)

I hate Christmas. Call me a humbug but if people need a special day to be nice to people it just shows how shallow we are. I don't limit this dislike to Christmas -Valentines Day- JEEZ -give me a break -If she doesn't know you love her you are doing something very wrong or not doing something you should, and if a dozen red roses make it right you are with the wrong person because she is shallow beyond belief and revelling in your even greater shallowness! Ther my chest feels better now I have that off it!!!πŸ™‚πŸ˜€πŸ˜‰πŸ˜›πŸ˜•πŸ˜³πŸ™πŸ˜žπŸ˜πŸ˜΅πŸ˜²πŸ˜΄

The one thing I don't like about Christmas is "expectations." It seemsto be a holiday where we are pumped up by commercialism to expect things to be all wonderful. Many of the people I know hate Christmas because they have painful memories associated with it. It's not all a "Hallmark moment."

There's nothing quite like watching a Santa Claus parade alone to provoke dem lonesome blues.

This is getting a bit dark.

If you are on your own go and pop round a neighbour with a card and a chat.

If you can't afford the Hallmark moment 'condela' Hallmark, they make enough money.

take a bit of time to reflect on yourself and your loved ones.

get the boys home from the war.

enjoy it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but without Christ, as in Jesus Christ, you have no Christmas, therefore, you can celebrate with family and friends and call it whatever you want, but if you call it Christmas, you are honoring the birth of God's Son, Jesus Christ...so, Merry CHRISTmas, rwingett, and have a happy new year...peace be unto you and yours...
