I do not spank my children, but I will if I need to if the time ever comes. A paddle on the bottom is not abuse, though a backhand to the face is.

I smoke too, I don't do that within 10 feet of anyone unless they are also smoking. I don't do it indoors at all.
It's not a keg party, it is a BBQ.
