You mean the world 2.0 map ???

It isn't as it happens, a deadbeat just got the turn (his first), so maybe next week i'll have had 4 turns to tell you how things pan out.....the deadbeat is my team mate 😞

there only called deadbeats when they get kicked for missing 3 turns but its likely if they've just join and missed their first move already they aren't coming back 🙁 i would try and avoid being partners with newbies if you can they wreak your games to often (learn the hard way)

yeah the world 2.0 map, i love it, it was made a few weeks ago and i've played about 5 games with it already, 3 of my games now are the new world map, so much goes on in that map its mental.

I'm looking to control the middle east of all places, i'm going to give up the rest to cencentrate on one easy to jump continent.

Among other things, I bought my two grand daughters the game CLUE for Christmas. I was going to let the oldest girl win, but I won by an accidental guess. 🙁
CLUE is a great game of logic and deductive reasoning. and a little luck helps too. 😵

even if your teammate does deadbeat stick at it on that map, anything can happen. i think your best bet might be to build up your troops, stay quiet for a while (after you get the middle east) and then go into europe or africa, whichever ones weakest.

i played a doubles game on that map a while ago, took out one of the opponents pretty early but his partner went on to win the game because the other team wouldn't attack him. game 125601 the guy who ended up winning it was the worst play in the game 🙄

Anybody play Age of Sail games, like Rod Langton's Signal Close Action or similar?

I've been reading the Patrick O'Brian novels, and am looking to get my geek on.

Nice evening, wine, cheese and crackers. What ever happened to chess?
no, no... you have to use your brain too much with chess... backgammon is good for this because you can play on automatic while enjoying everything else...

This is too slow. Between AGE games and RHP I have all the "log on and check my games" factor I want. I want to move move move and be done with it.

Hi
huckleberryhound's just started a thread for organising games at conquer club.

As for those of you who liked the axis and allies boardgame there's a free downloadable version called triple a. you can get it here:
http://triplea.sourceforge.net/mywiki/TripleA

enjoy!

That's the reason why chess is so good. You can't think of anything else while your'e playing. It's a nice temporary getaway.
