If you know how to do bold letters and how to do italics, making bold italics shouldn't be such a big challenge.

You have to use the old system of putting brackets round b's and i's etc, I'll test it out a minute.

[ b] [ i] boo [/ b] [/ i]

You do it as above but without the spaces.

actually, in a perfect world, this shouldn't work. As with HTML, the proper method is to nest them, like this:

[ b] [ i] boo [/ i] [/ b]

and if this is the old system, what the heck is the new system?
