When I was in band in high school, one of my girlfriends and I did a karaoke bit for a variety show the music dept put on. We did a version of "Barracuda" we called "Barra-coda". Sadly, no one except the people in band or chorus classes "got" it.

No, most of us considered 9 months of "band geekdom" per year our quota. Plus, most band camps in our area were privately-run with enrollment fees to match. Besides, marching band practice always started in late July.

I played the Tuba (orchestra) & Sousaphone (marching band) for 6 years (middle school and high school)....umpapa.
