Ah, coffee ... this is both an art and a science. My wife says I make the best cup of coffee in the world. I like the smell but do not drink it myself (like perfume: it smells good, but why would it taste anything like it smells?).

1. Freeze the beans; keeps them fresh. Use two kinds of beans: caff and de-caff. Caff for the kick, de-caff for more aroma (it's roasted longer ...[text shortened]...
Don't think of it as effort; it's love. She'll do anything you ask for the next 6 hours.

Enjoy.
I run hot water through filters before using them.

I'm interested to find out what coffee Dive drinks in his house.
He's wealthy. He hires locals to search the jungles for monkey poop. He then donates it to the McDonalds in Halifax NS.
What a kind giving person!

As an aside, from time to time I put a piece of butter into my coffee instead of creamer, real butter.
Will give that a try.

What McDonald's in Halifax, N.S., even though I know that is a bunch of crap. ๐Ÿ™‚ I know it is not the one I go to, although I've never tasted monkey poop to my knowledge. ๐Ÿ˜›

We do but driving to one of those would take even more effort.

I’m very happy with Aldi’s great tasting, great value instant which I could drink all day. I’ve even converted a Nescafe drinking mate to it ๐Ÿ˜ฎ though, years back as a student my little luxury was an occasional coffee cream served in a pub, in a large wine glass. I loved that sensation of sipping the hot sweet coffee through a layer of cold cream. It looked like a glass of Guinness.
I used to very much enjoy the roasting and grinding beans hocus pocus when I lived in Japan. A lot of people in the Yakuza did. But nowadays I am fine with Nescafé Original instant with UHT milk and sweetener.

Folger in our autodrip coffee maker. 1 shot of French vanilla creamer, no sugar. Or a shot of Bailey's
