Coining new words

Here is a massive list of new words and new definitions for existing words added to the Oxford English Dictionary in December 2020 alone! The sheer number of items on the list ~ for just ONE month ~ is slightly mind-boggling.

Let's coin some new words and/or new definitions for existing words in two categories:

1. for the proverbial real world
2. for the RHP message board world

Spamendickular

Vertical spam/blog posting of multiple pre-prepared posts.
An example would be @sonship in the Spirituality forum.

Zoomenholeing

Posting on LinkedIn a screen grab of your open Zoom meeting with many startled, bored, waving people and informing the entire platform how “delighted you are to be part of this group” and how important and amazing your Zoomenholed colleagues are, when really what you mean is “look at me doing a Zoom meeting”.

Onion

Definition no.3

Noun: a one hundred-word microfiction ~ exactly one hundred words long ~ not including the title and the author's name ~ that has been read out, recorded, and set to music or sound effects.

Rustification: Dumbing down human communication to grimaces, giggles and grunts.

New

Adjective: the state of having just been undone, exposed, dismissed ~ or otherwise dealt with ~ by a post that gets straight to the heart of the matter but doesn't have enough words in it to stretch all the way across the screen.

Morse Thumbing

The pattern of a poster’s thumbing in a thread where the red thumbs are distributed in accordance with the thumber’s personal approval or disapproval of each thumbee.

Early thumbing in this thread would be an example.
