When the Vikings came to Ireland,
they settled and had a positive influence.
We still do 🙂

Yes indeed they do and we are all the better for that. 😀
The people of Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark
have had a huge positive influence here for centuries
and long may it continue.

I've been to Denmark and my eldest daughter has been to Stockholm.
Sweden is a country I would love to visit. 🙂

And didn't overpower the natives.
There are still occasional instances of blonde and blue-eyed Inuits, Andy. 😀

Two of my grandparents were from Denmark. I attribute anything good in my genes from them.

Maybe the Inuits overpowered the Vikings. 😉

Do you know that from personal experience?

Happy holiday to all who observe it.

Question: Is the landing of Christof Columbus in the west Indies a good reason for celebrating?
The holiday commemorates the first guy to get lost, refuse to ask for directions, and who insisted he knew exactly where he was. Clearly he was a role model for many who came after him.

Anything that can lead inexorably to twelve humans walking around on the Moon can't be all that bad, says I.
