So, it's a working democracy then? Forgive my ignorance, but are the
other parties suppressed or censored by local media or government?
'A working democracy' is a bit too loose to respond to ...

But elections are free and fair and opposition parties aren't suppressed or censored.

According to an internal ANC survey the ruling party doubts it will retain a two-thirds majority and will almost certainly lose Western Cape province, an opposition stronghold.

Yeah... They're so open and honest.
I take it you didn't see this article on the ANC distributing flyers posing as the DA?

Dirty tricks abound in politics. The opposition parties have a few of their own. Anyhow, some flyers in Mpumalanga -- a real DA stronghold, that -- don't concern me all that much. The craven backing of Zuma by church leaders is another story, but they're free to do what they want, aren't they?

The fact remains that opposition parties are free to campaign and use the media: they are not oppressed. If only they used it more effectively, unlike the idiots in Cope.

Can you back this up with facts, or are you too busy taking horse-riding lessons so you don't fall off again?

I wish we had live presidential debates like they do in the US.
Put them on the podium in front of a live audience with no script writers... It would be a laugh a minute.

I think Julius Malema could hold his own in a debate with George Bush.

Yes, there are many Zimbabwean refugees in SA. No, they can't vote.

He could be confusing this with the last Zim "election" where the immigrants in SA were allowed to vote?
